We can’t believe it’s just three weeks until the second instalment of the Moggill Marathon and we are thrilled to be bringing you this fantastic event that supports local community causes, all while promoting the health benefits of running and walking.
The Moggill Marathon is not only a race, but an opportunity for the community to come together and give back. We are proud to be supporting Bravery Box again this year, an amazing charity that provides care packages to children and teens undergoing cancer treatment. By participating in this event, you will be making a difference in the lives of those who need it most, there is still time to fundraise when you sign up and get family and friends to help contribute.

It’s not just the beautiful scenery and those great (and slightly challenging courses!) that makes the Moggill Marathon special. We also have some fantastic prizes up for grabs, including $1000 of The Athlete’s Foot Indooroopilly giveaways, a free week pass at Snap Bellbowrie for every entrant, and in addition, two lucky entrants will be randomly selected to also receive three-month memberships at Snap Bellbowrie. And let’s not forget about the cash prizes for the top three places in the half marathon and 10k, split by gender. Our team competitions include a $500 prize in the 5k event (for teams finishing under 28 minutes) and the local primary school with the most entrants in the 2k takes home $250, and bragging rights!
As we head into May, the week of the 15th is National Volunteer Week, and we couldn’t do this event without our fantastic Moggill SES team who will again be marshalling the event, ensuring the safety of all participants. We also have a fantastic team of volunteers on board to support the event, work with the SES, and make it a success. We want to acknowledge and thank all the wonderful local support that has gone into making this event possible.
We must remember the real excitement of the day comes from being part of something bigger than ourselves. Running or walking the Moggill Marathon is not just good for our physical health, but it also promotes mental health and overall wellbeing. It’s an opportunity to challenge ourselves, set and achieve goals, and make new friends along the way.
So why not get a team together and join us on May 21st for the Moggill Marathon? You’ll have the opportunity to support a great cause, win some fantastic prizes, and be part of a wonderful community event.
We can’t wait to see you there!
