We are fast approaching Xmas and our Poolwerx Moggill Marathon Team are already lacing up their runners to start the proceedings for next year’s event! Save the date for Sunday 19th May 2024.
What’s New?
Well, the big news, after the great success in 2023, and learnings from the event, we’re including the full marathon in 2024. Two circuits of our 21k course with a five-hour cut off will present a great challenge for runners, either to test themselves on an undulating course, or use for training for other events on the running calendar. We will of course retain our other range of distances that cater to all fitness levels and abilities. This means that there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned marathon runner, a casual jogger, walker, or a family wanting to share the joy of running and event with your little ones.
Super Early Bird Entries are Open!
For the early birds who catch the worm—or, in this case, discounted registration—now is your chance! The Super Early Bird entries are open, offering a whopping 20% discount on registration fees. And here’s an even bigger treat: the first 50 marathon runners to sign up will enjoy a reduced entry fee of just $95. We know times are tough and we have frozen our entry prices from last year, and will be running our Super Early Bird discounts for an extended period of time. This is a great opportunity to secure your spot, have something to look forward to, and get in training.

Supporting a great cause: Bravery Box and Brisbane community organisations
While the Poolwerx Moggill Marathon is a celebration of healthy and active movement in the community, it’s also about making a positive impact. In 2024 the event continues its partnership with Bravery Box, supporting children battling cancer, the funds raised go a long way in bringing smiles, hope, and comfort to these brave children and their families. In addition, the Poolwerx Moggill Marathon supports Brisbane organisations, with a focus on community services and developing children. It’s a reminder that when we come together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

With the event eight months away, there is plenty of time to start training. We also welcome your help to make the Poolwerx Moggill Marathon 2024 another unforgettable event by spreading the word among your friends, workmates and family.
