FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Entry fee rates are calculated on the race event and age. The entry fees are available in each race distance:

  • Moggill Village Road2Rural Half Marathon 21km – $85
  • Hutchies Mt Moggill 10km – $65
  • The Local Bulletin Wild Goose Chase 5km – $45
  • Bravery Box 2km Fun Run / Walk – $20

Payment must be made via Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard or Visa) at the time of online registration and will incur a processing fee.

If you are participating in the half marathon or 10km, each participant will receive a t’shirt or cap and medal upon completion.

If you are completing in the 5km fun run, each participant will receive a cap and medal upon completion.

If you are completing in the 2km fun run, each participant will receive a medal upon completion.

  • 21km half marathon:  1st Prize $250 | 2nd Prize | $150 | 3rd Prize $100 awarded to top male and female winners. 
  • 10km:  1st Prize $150 | 2nd Prize $100 | 3rd Prize $50 awarded to top male and female winners. 
  • 5km Wild Goose Chase:  $500 total prize pool for the first runner of equivalent gender ($250 each) to catch the Goose (female) or Gander (male). 

Race cut-off times are enforced to ensure participant safety & the reopening of roads as per the Road Closure Permit.

  • 21km Half Marathon:  3 hours 15 minutes  
  • 10km:  2 hours 30 minutes 
  • 5km Wild Goose Chase:  1 hour 30 minutes
  • 2km Fun Run:  1 hour

Prams are allowed for the:

  • Hutchies Mt Moggill 10km
  • The Local Bulletin Wild Goose Chase 5km
  • Bravery Box Fun Run 2km.

Pets, Scooter, Bike, Skates/boards are not permitted in the above run events and including the Moggill Village Road2Rural Half Marathon 21km.

NOTE: Prams are not permitted in the Moggill Village Road2Rural Half Marathon 21km for runner safety.

Should the event be unable to be performed on the scheduled date due to circumstances beyond the control of the organiser, the organiser will:

  • reschedule the event to a suitable date whereby entry fees and sponsorship funds will be applied to this rescheduled date or
  • if unable to be rescheduled, entry fees and sponsorship funds will be credited towards the following year’s event scheduled for Sunday 21 May 2023 or
  • participants seeking a refund then a $5 per person administration fee shall be charged to process requested refund. No refunds for non participation.
  • if COVID-19 impacts your participation on the day of the event, and the participant has advised organisers writing to hello@moggillmarathon.com.au within seven (7) days post the event date, the organiser shall transfer your registration fee to Sunday 21 May 2023.

All race transfers must be finalised by 1 May 2022. No refunds are applicable. Additional costs will apply for transfers to longer distances. Please email hello@moggillmarathon.com.au with your registration details and race event to be transferred to.

COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted across Queensland but there is the potential for tougher restrictions to return. You can register with peace of mind knowing if COVID-19 impacts your participation on the day of the event, then the participant must advise organisers in writing to hello@moggillmarathon.com.au within seven (7) days post the event date, then the organiser shall transfer your registration fee to the 2023 date of Sunday 21 May.

The Poolwerx Moggill Marathon Road2Rural Fun Run events will be delivered in accordance with COVID Safe practices and plan based on current Queensland Health guidelines. The plan is in place to provide a safe and fun event for everyone.

To participate in these events, you are asked to meet all the applicable Commonwealth and/or State health directions.

Yes, you will receive an automated confirmation of your entry upon successfully registering. You will then receive another confirmation email prior to race week detailing your race number collection point for the event and the important race briefing for your event.

Due to limited timeframes for administration and planning, it was decided to not run the full 42.2km marathon in 2021 which was rescheduled for 21st May 2022 due to state government COVID-19 restrictions.

In 2023, we are investigating the option to include the full marathon 42.2km as a race event.

Proceeds raised by event will be distributed to local community groups and child cancer charities according to the Moggill Marathon Distribution of Funds to Beneficiaries.

Yes, water stations are located at various sections of the course which will be detailed on the course maps. Water shall be available at these stations.

Yes, marshals will be deployed at various sections of the course including SES and traffic controllers to assist with direction and guidance.

Please know that all the Marshals, Water Station Crew and Support Crew are all volunteers.  We ask that you please respect their assistance and guidance, they are acting on behalf of the event organiser and are only considering your safety.

Should you wish to withdraw during your run event, please go to the nearest marshal who can assist you.

All sweepers and checkpoint marshals have the authority to withdraw any runner, at any time, who they feel is unlikely to complete the run within the cut-off period allowed (and their judgement is final). They may also decide to retire runners at a checkpoint if they feel that this is in the best interests of the runner and/or the race.
