  • Half Marathon 42.2km – 1st $250 | 2nd $150 | 3rd $100 awarded to the top male and female winners ++ Sponsors prizes
  • Road 2 Rural 21km – 1st $250 | 2nd $150 | 3rd $100 awarded to the top male and female winners
  • Mt Moggill 10km – 1st $150 | 2nd $100 | 3rd $50 awarded to top male and female winners
  • The 5km Challenge – one prize of $500 for the school or community team (must be a recognised organisation with bank account) with the highest number of entries
  • The 2km fun run/walk – one prize of $250 for the primary school with the most competitors

Race cut-off times are enforced to ensure participant safety & the reopening of roads as per the Road Closure Permit.

  • 42.2km Marathon: 5 hours
  • 21.1km Half Marathon:  3 hours  
  • 10km:  2 hours 30 minutes 
  • The 5km Challenge:  1 hour 30 minutes
  • The 2km Fun Run/Walk:  1 hour

Prams are allowed for the:

  • Hutchies Mt Moggill 10km
  • The Local Bulletin Wild Goose Chase 5km
  • Bravery Box Fun Run 2km.

Pets, Scooter, Bike, Skates/boards are not permitted in the above run events and including the Moggill Village Road2Rural Half Marathon 21km.

NOTE: Prams are not permitted in the Moggill Village Road2Rural Half Marathon 21km for runner safety.

Refunds are not available as per the signed waiver upon registration.

All race transfers must be finalised by 1 May 2023. No refunds are applicable. Additional costs will apply for transfers to longer distances.

COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted across Queensland but there is the potential for tougher restrictions to return. You can register with peace of mind knowing if COVID-19 impacts your participation on the day of the event, then the participant must advise organisers in writing to hello@moggillmarathon.com.au within seven (7) days post the event date, the organiser may transfer your registration fee to the following year’s event.

If there is any significant change that affects all participants, our team will contact you via email.

The Moggill Marathon events will be delivered in accordance with COVID Safe practices and plan based on current Queensland Health guidelines. The plan is in place to provide a safe and fun event for everyone.

To participate in these events, you are asked to meet all the applicable Commonwealth and/or State health directions.

Yes, you will receive an automated confirmation of your entry upon successfully registering. You will then receive another confirmation email prior to race week detailing your race number collection point for the event and the important race briefing for your event. 

We have many opportunities available including before, during and after the event.

Proceeds raised by event will be distributed to local community groups and child cancer charities according to the Moggill Marathon Distribution of Funds to Beneficiaries.

Yes, water stations are located at various sections of the course which will be detailed on the course maps. Water shall be available at these stations.

Yes, marshals will be deployed at various sections of the course including SES and traffic controllers to assist with direction and guidance.

Please know that all the Marshals, Water Station Crew and Support Crew are all volunteers.  We ask that you please respect their assistance and guidance, they are acting on behalf of the event organiser and are only considering your safety.

Should you wish to withdraw during your run event, please go to the nearest marshal who can assist you.

All sweepers and checkpoint marshals have the authority to withdraw any runner, at any time, who they feel is unlikely to complete the run within the cut-off period allowed (and their judgement is final). They may also decide to retire runners at a checkpoint if they feel that this is in the best interests of the runner and/or the race.
