The Poolwerx Moggill Marathon is back for 2025, and while we are excited to deliver another fantastic event, we want to reassure residents that there will be no full road closures. Our priority is to minimise disruption while creating an incredible experience for runners, walkers, and spectators. Residents will still be able to leave their properties, and we simply ask for caution around runners and that instructions from traffic controllers are followed where necessary. Any delays will be minor, only a few minutes at most. The event is professionally managed with the Moggill SES, QPS, and QAS in attendance, and has full approval from Brisbane City Council.
At the heart of this event is fundraising for Bravery Box, which provides essential support for children and teens undergoing cancer treatment. We are also committed to giving back to local schools, community groups, and organisations, reinforcing the spirit of generosity and support that defines the Poolwerx Moggill Marathon.
This year brings exciting improvements, including AIMS certification, proudly sponsored by Centric Insurance Broking, meaning runners can have their race results officially recognised on an international level. We are also introducing a Resident Cheer Squad Competition, sponsored by Nada Jovanovic Property, to encourage our community to get involved. The most enthusiastic and creative cheer squad will win a fantastic prize. To enhance the race experience, we’re introducing colour-coded signage and bib matching, making it easier for runners and spectators to navigate the course.
