As the end of year approaches, excitement is building for the fourth year of the Poolwerx Moggill Marathon on Sunday 18th May 2025. With Christmas around the corner, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared throughout the year and gear up for a season of giving, gratitude, and goals for the new year.
2024, A Year to Celebrate
2024 has been an outstanding year for the Poolwerx Moggill Marathon. From new runners joining our community to seasoned athletes achieving personal bests, every step taken has strengthened our commitment to bringing the community together, and supporting good causes.

Looking Ahead to 2025
Big news for the Poolwerx Moggill Marathon is that we will be an AIMS (Association of International Marathon and Distance Races) certified course. We recently had the marathon, half marathon, 10k and 5k course officially measured. We’d like to acknowledge Don Wallace and Richard Quirk for undertaking the measurement of the events using the calibrated bicycle method to measure the course. We continue to improve the event where we can, and with accurate course measurement our runners can enter with the full knowledge that the course and race time will be attributed to an exact distance.
We’ll be building our volunteer base in the early stages of 2025, so if you’d like to join the team that makes this event happen, please reach out to us at hello@moggillmarathon.com.au. We want to put on a fantastic morning and we rely on our wonderful support team. Additionally we are already seeing running clubs enter teams for 2025, if you’re running club would like to set up a marquee on the day, please also email us and we can organise this for you.
